About us
We are an interdisciplinary, dynamic team and develop in-situ measurement techniques for the investigation of complex food engineering processes involving thermal, mechanical and chemical transformations. These allow the investigation of structure formation reactions, of process engineering processes as well as of the interaction between process and structure. The methods used are mainly X-ray imaging and neutron imaging. Quantitative image analysis enables the generation of an improved process understanding and serves the development of improved models. The processes considered are mainly drying processes, separation processes and structure formation processes.
