Career
Olivia Spykman completed her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with focus on Energy, Climate, and Sustainability, at Amsterdam University College (Netherlands). She then went on to study a Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences, with a focus on Agricultural Economics, at the Technical University of Munich. Research areas
As part of her PhD, Olivia Spykman is working on the socio-economic evaluation of field robots. This includes the investigation of the acceptance among farmers as well as in the non-agricultural society. This is followed by an economic evaluation from the standpoints of labor efficiency and environmental effects in a strip-intercropping field laboratory. In addition, Olivia Spykman oversees the Digital Agriculture for Sustainable Food Systems start-up challenge.
