Farm robotics
In farm robotics we do not focus on hardware, but instead to develop the algorithms and digital monitoring tools that support autonomous decision-making. Our algorithms use different data sources such as satellite data, soil or climate data or computer vision and combine that in sequential decision-support models that can be applied real time during the growing season. The models are designed to work on field-level scale, which is the lowest spatial scale compared to global yield forecasting or climate change research. In a mid-term focus our digital tools will interact with farm robotics and bring farm management to a higher level of autonomy.
