In November our PhD student, Rogério de Souza Nóia Júnior, was awarded by the "IPCC Scholarship Programme for climate-related science". Rogério is studying the impacts of extremes weather events on agricultural systems around the world, mainly focused on France and in Brazil.
He was among the twelve PhDs/Postdocs awarded. The awards ceremony occurred in Monaco, and was given by the Prince Albert II of Monaco.To the IPCC website
The IPCC Scholarship Programme provides scholarships for PhD students from developing countries for research that advances the understanding of the scientific basis of risks of climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation.
