On June 5th, 2023, an article by Anna Gauto entitled "Agriculture: Can indoor wheat help with crop failures in the future?" appeared in the Handelsblatt, in which Prof. Asseng and doctoral student S. Eichelsbacher explained their indoor wheat experiment, which shows the potential has the ability to yield thousands of times more for the same area used and minimal water use, and its implications as a potential help in the event of crop failures explain insufficient harvests due to climate change.
