- Technical and technological advice for breweries, malt houses, beverage industry and plant breeding
- Analytical services concerning research projects conjointly run with industrial business companies on the field of physic-chemical, microbiological and instrumental analysis
- Providing Scientific background for analytics and method development
- Support in analytical hindsight of all chair‘s workgroups by advice and direct service
- Coaching of diploma-, bachelor-, masterworks in technology and attendant analytics
- Collaboration with the German Federal Seed Board and the Brewing Barley Community („Wertprüfung“, „Berliner Programm“) on the field of releasing new malting barley varieties and quality evaluation after admittance
- Chair‘s representation in beverage analytics associations

- Application of high throughput methods on standard analytics in brewery and common beverage industry
- Simple methods for the production of gluten-free beers
- Development of functional beverages enriched with proteins from legumes
