Content
In the course, an overview of the recent tools and technologies for automated agriculture are studied. Furthermore, autonomous systems for smart farming and their functionalities are introduced. The content covers:
• Robotics and labor in agriculture
• Agricultural robots for field operations
• Machine vision technologies
• Actuation and control
• Communication systems
• Human-robot collaboration
• Robots in forestry operations
• Intelligent irrigation
• Orchard management
• Cooperative robotic systems
• Outlook on future technologies
In addition, one excursion to a company is planned to demonstrate some practical applications of the provided module content.
